  • 4th of July bbq

The Seelens hosted an awesome July 4th bbq again this year. They know how to throw parties! Not sure what the final headcount was, but I think we had close to 40 people.

Charlie grilled the burgers and everyone else brought side dishes. I made potato salad for the first time (had to call my mom to ask for her recipe) and other people made dishes like baked beans, pasta salad, zucchini casserole, Greek salad, and then for dessert we had cookies, fruit, and Texas sheet cake.

Thanks again Seelens for the great time of fellowship!

    What's the 4th without fireworks?!

The house where you are having 4th of July looks like it's in a US neighborhood - I was surprised! You look happy to be back in Japan! We've been praying for you - thanks for the note and the new prayer card. We didn't get it until we returned from my mom and dad's house and it promptly went up on the refrigerator. We are sorry we didn't get to hug your neck and talk in person, but.... we know you are where you're supposed to be. We had a great visit with Matt and Jamie and baby Walker (completely adorable) and we talked about all you are doing. It was fun - you were the only part missing to make our circle complete.

Love you bunches!Todd, Margaret, Rachel & Nate
